Who will be Rome alone?

Italian coach Roberto Donadoni has named a preliminary 24 man pool leaving one poor sod with the embarrassment of being the player to be miss out of the upcoming big one when he announces his final 23 man sqaud.

Donadoni, who has just signed a new contract with the Italian FA surprised a lot of people with his inclusion of Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano, who has had a decent season while on at Sampdoria. Donadoni also named veteran Alessandro Del Piero, who finished the season as Serie A's top scorer.

AC Milan's veteran forward Filippo Inzaghi, Massimo Oddo and Vincenzo Iaquinta were all omitted from the Italian squad due to injuries. The pool of 24 chosen by Donadoni are...
